Our Story

 

     My name is Deanna Belser and I am a grandmother (AKA “Mimsy”) to 6 beautiful granddaughters, 1 handsome grandson. I am 58 years old and love all things Fashion and Beauty. I actually went to college, way back in the 80's, for Fashion and Business.  I have always loved going to market, shopping and putting together outfits.  I love my luxe press on nails, skin care, lashes and of course feeling and looking good in the clothing that I wear.  I am excited to be able to bring you along for the journey!  If you love all things beauty and fashion, you will love being a part of our boutique family.

Here at Mimsy’s Beauty Boutique it is my goal to share all the things that I love and to make them available to you.  It is a place where you can invite your friends; who also love beauty and fashion,  to join the fun too.   I want you to be able to feel confident and beautiful in the clothing, accessories and/or beauty products that I bring to you.

A Little Back Story...

I’ve always had a passion for fashion.  It grew even more when I attended fashion school in the 1980s, focusing on fashion marketing, merchandising, and business management. My time there was filled with unforgettable experiences—working fashion shows,  the Dallas market, and, of course, dressing up mannequins in the latest trends. I loved it all and learned so much.

After attending college, I fell in love, got married, and began working in downtown Dallas. But when my children came along, my priorities shifted, and I chose to stay home, helping my husband with his construction business while being the mom I always wanted to be.

As my kids grew older and were graduating from high school, I felt the pull to rekindle my passion for business and creativity. In 2009, I took the leap and opened Specialty Photography, a venture that has brought me immense joy for the past 15 years. Photography has been more than just a creative outlet for me; it’s about the wonderful people I get to meet and the relationships I build along the way.

In 2019, life took an unexpected turn when my husband was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. It’s been a journey of faith, perseverance, and gratitude as we navigate through his treatments and surgeries, including a bone marrow transplant. We are both deeply thankful to the Lord for His provision, and after 5.5 years, I’m grateful to say that my husband is still doing well.

As life continues to move forward, and with my sweet husband no longer able to work, I decided it was time to take on a new challenge. That’s how Mimsy's Beauty Boutique was born in January 2024. Of course, there was a lot of prep work and behind-the-scenes planning before the launch, but I dove right in and started my online boutique.

Being a creative person, I’ve always had a deep love for photography, fashion, and beauty products. I wanted to create a space where I could share all the things I love with other women who are searching for amazing clothes that make them feel confident and beautiful. And it’s not just about the clothes—I’m also here to share life and beauty tips along the way.
